I can't really see the link between sheep and telephones, (maybe the switch to optical fibre for communications...) so they strike me as a little bit surreal. But these captivating sheep are beautifully-made. They're made from old telephones and cords, and so maybe they highlight the green aspect of real wool. Make up your own mind.

Might prove tricky spinning the fleece....
Some good advice here. I recently flew from the US to Bucharest with a plane-change in Zurich. I carried by wooden needles and a circular yarn cutter with no exposed blade in my carry-on bag with no troubles. In the US, you just can't carry scissors.
I checked the TSA site before I left so I would know for sure—"Items needed to pursue a Needlepoint project are permitted in your carry-on baggage or checked baggage with the exception of circular thread cutters or any cutter with a blade contained inside which cannot go through the checkpoint and must go in your checked baggage."
I guess they didn't see the cutter among all the yarn.
