Finally, finished a boiled wool, gray hat for myself that I had intended to make a comfortable pull on my head. I had not counted on loosing room for the gather. :) Ended up taking the band off and making it bigger. :) This time, it falls over my eyes. I think a hat pin is in order - I'm not taking it apart again.Isadorahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15503636172821725779noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4387597887490861261.post-52245334004771823382007-11-03T08:34:00.000+00:002007-11-03T08:34:00.000+00:00Well done Pea... takes me back to the days when I ...Well done Pea... takes me back to the days when I used to knit socks and gloves, could not tackle those nowadays, the old brain would forget where I was and could end up with finger socks....Alifanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01680151878441268622noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4387597887490861261.post-64577532427213124692007-10-30T22:13:00.000+00:002007-10-30T22:13:00.000+00:00I was waiting for someone to suggest that I model ...I was waiting for someone to suggest that I model them, but I didn't expect it to be my Mum - lol!!! We'll see. Now that I know how mind-boggling some of these knitting patterns can be, I'm in complete awe of my grandmother who used to make it look so easy. I'd love to think that she's seeing how her needles are being used!peahenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02395503525006623752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4387597887490861261.post-28473217008086109942007-10-30T20:53:00.000+00:002007-10-30T20:53:00.000+00:00Wow , that is some piece of knitting to take on!!a...Wow , that is some piece of knitting to take on!!
and I guess all of us will be waiting to see you model the finished item!!

You seem to be getting on with it rather well, I expect it's because it's such an interesting item.
